About the hotel
Built in the unique Modernist style of Barcelona, this hotel is located in the city´s heart, in amongst the monuments and exclusive shops of Plaça Catalunya and La Rambla.
Dating from the late 19th century and converted to a hotel in 1917, making it one of Barcelona´s oldest, the building retains many period features such as ornate ceilings, lamps of cast bronze and crystal, marble floors and colour schemes immortalised by Roca-Sastre. The location just off Plaça Catalunya, the city´s transport hub, makes the hotel a great base to explore La Rambla, the Gothic Quarter and the upmarket boutiques of Passeig de Gracia.

Directions
It is very easy to find the hotel:
1. From Barcelona Airport (El Prat):
- By Aurobus: its schedule is of 6:00 to 24:00 h., it takes about 30 min. to get in Catalunya square, and the price is about 3,50 euros, after that go down 200 meters direction to the port until the Hotel..
- By Train: its schedule is of 6:30 to 23:30 h., it takes about 20 min. to get in Catalunya station, and the price is about 3.50 euros. You can take the exit Catalunya square and go down 200 meters direction to the port until the Hotel.
- By Taxi: available 24h., it takes about 25 min. to get in the Hotel, and the price is about 25 euros .
2. From Sants Railway Station:
- You must take the Subway Línea 3 (green color) or Línea 1 (red color) and stop in "Catalunya" station.
- By Taxi, the price is about 8 euros.
3. From Girona Airport:
- By Bus: there is a service of buses called "Sagales" that waits to the flights in the Airport and it takes to Barcelona. It takes about 1 hour to get in Nord bus station, and the price is about 18 euros (round trip). There you can take the subway Línea 1 (red color) in "Arco del Triunfo" station and stop in "Catalunya" station or take a taxi (about 6 euros).
- By Taxi: it takes about 50 min. to get in the Hotel, and the price is about 140 euros.
